BURNS DOG DAYS OUT AT PEMBREY COUNTRY PARK, WALES
Four Dalmatians put on a display to canine crowds in the beautiful setting of Pembrey Country Park in South Wales where one of our stalwart sponsors put on an exciting day out for dogs. Once again, some BCDS members in the West country turned out with their carriage dogs to put on a display to watching crowds. All the proceeds from the event went to charity.

At Paws in the Park the Dashing Dalmatian team, which includes a good smattering of carriage dogs, put on a lovely display of synchronised obedience in time to some hugely popular Abba tracks. This display was followed by some British Carriage Dog Society members and their carriage dogs at work. The Society’s marquee was busy all on both days, with visitors interested in the collection of pictures – historic and modern – of working Dalmatians. We ran our ‘spot your own dog’ competition for the children which attracted lots of entries and a beautiful collection of spotty dog pictures at the end of each day. The winners were Georgina and Charlie whose winning pictures are shown below.

Nobel is an 18hh French bred Percheron and trotting happily behind bringing smiles to the faces of all the spectators (and judges!) were Anne’s Munin and Fenris and Anna Gambles’ Freya. Also grooming was Gail Cotteril and Crosbie Fitch came along for the ride (and was an admirable horse handler with a very excited Nobel). For more photos from the 2009 Parade click here]]
